Our Registered Nurse Alexis completed her aesthetic hands-on training under the expert guidance of Dr. Yoo, the only surgeon in San Diego County to have completed a prestigious fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Stanford University. Having assisted Dr. Yoo in hundreds of patient visits and custom facial plastic surgeries, Alexis has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to your facial needs. As Dr. Yoo’s non-surgical protégé, her focus is on natural-looking results.

Her Story
Alexis grew up in the Philippines, where she graduated from Doña Remedios Trinidad Romualdez Medical Foundation with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After earning her degree, Alexis moved to California to be closer to family. Alexis has been with the SKY team since 2017 where she has worked closely with Dr. Yoo and has assisted during surgeries as the scrub nurse. Surgery is often an emotional journey in addition to a physical one, and Alexis plays an integral part in preparing patients mentally and encouraging confidence in their decision to move forward with surgery. Most recently, she oversaw our surgery center’s accreditation in addition to assisting patients throughout their surgery experience. This gave her a deep understanding of facial anatomy, which is very important when it comes to safe injection practices. “I love being able to help patients holistically and strive to provide only the best care and results. What I love about SKY is the experience you receive from start to finish; it’s unlike anything I’ve received from other medical offices.” shares Alexis. “It’s been such a rewarding experience for me guiding patients towards their aesthetic goals. Alexis is also a certified fitness instructor for Barre3 San Diego! She’s always had a passion for health, fitness, and beauty. When not at SKY, Alexis enjoys working out, building her workout class and playlist, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Matt, and doggy, Theo.
Giving Back
Alexis supports relief efforts for women, children and the underprivileged in the Philippines. She volunteered as a registered nurse to the non-profit organization Samaritan’s Purse International Relief during their disaster missions (post Haiyan catastrophe) in 2013. Whenever possible, she continues to extend logistic and medical support for humanitarian missions in the Philippines.
