Award Ceremony for 2014 Women Who Mean Business
Last week, our VP, Amber attended San Diego Business Journal's 2014 Women Who Mean Business award ceremony where she was named a finalist!
Held at Town and Country Resort and Convention Center, the luncheon began with time to network with all the amazing finalists.
Amber was in good company with several SKY friends.

- Stephanie Wygant who runs Utgard Construction, the company that built out our office!
- Jenny Levitz who owns several fabulous fashion stores called the Pink Lagoon
- Kelly Hinchman who owns Studio H Design, the company that did the interior design for our beautiful spa-like office!
- Amber N. Yoo, M.B.A., our Vice President extraordinaire!
After networking, everyone was seated and the ceremonies began.
The Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Ann Evans, the Chairman Emeritus of Evan Hotels. The inspirational Ms. Evans spoke at the luncheon, discussing all the amazing qualities about San Diego. Being surrounded by such innovative and amazing leaders generates a feeling of appreciation to be able to work and practice in such an amazing city.
Lucy Kilea, a retired California Senator, was awarded the Spirit of San Diego Award. Constance Carroll from the San Diego Community College District received the Darlene Marcos Shiley Education Leadership Award. Thella Bowens was honored for Exemplary Service, and Rana Sampson for Community Service.
