Surgery Center Receives Highest Accreditation
We are very proud to announce that the Institute for Medical Quality (IMQ) has awarded our surgery center with 3-year accreditation, the longest term that a surgical facility can get. IMQ, the "quality arm" of the California Medical Association, recently completed a rigorous on-site inspection and concluded that our policies, procedures and practices provide the highest standard of care for our surgery patients.
"It is an honor to be recognized by California officials as a top-quality surgical facility," stated Dr. Yoo, our facial plastic surgeon. "IMQ accreditation demonstrates our dedication to patient safety and continued excellence in care."
The IMQ accreditation process is lengthy and rigorous. Inspectors review the credentials of the surgery staff, the procedures staff follow before, during and after a surgery, the maintenance of medical equipment and other safety measures, as well as how well the surgery team is equipped to handle an emergency.
Having a fully accredited surgery center means our patients receive the same standard of care and safety as a hospital, but in our intimate, spa-like environment. "It is important to us to offer the same SKY experience from the initial consultation all the way through to the surgery," explains Amber, SKY's vice president. "Having an on-site surgery center dedicated only to our patients enables us to do just that."
If you are considering cosmetic surgery for your face or neck and would like to tour our surgery center, just let us know when you schedule your consultation and we'll make it happen.
