The SKY Team Volunteers for the 25th Annual U-T Kids’ NewsDay
The SKY Team Volunteers for the 25th Annual U-T Kids’ NewsDay Tomorrow! Come out and Donate!
On October 21, the SKY Team will be volunteering for U-T Kids’ NewsDay, a benefit for Rady Children’s Hospital. Every year U-T San Diego prints a special edition paper that, along with all the regular sections, highlights heroic stories of children who have benefitted from the outstanding, life-changing care at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego. In the past 24 years Kids’ NewsDay has raised over $2.8 million dollars and hopes to reach $3 million at tomorrow’s event.
Hundreds of volunteers around San Diego stand at busy intersections, San Diego Credit Unions, and Starbucks locations to sell the heartwarming Kids’ NewsDay edition paper.
It even includes a $2 off coupon for your morning coffee from Starbucks! The message of this year’s event, “Day to Donate,” is encouraging any denomination from $2 to $200 dollars.
Last year our team volunteered near SDSU, beat our goal, and raised over $100. We know our 4S Ranch friends, family, and neighbors will help us exceed that this year!
From 8:00 am to 9:00 am we will close the office and be at the 4S Ranch Starbucks. Please come out and support these inspiring children.
If you can not visit us tomorrow you can still donate $5 by texting RADY to 90999 or visit http://bit.ly/1nqIQdA to donate more. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow and being a part of this great cause.
