Mole Removal

“ I had a couple moles removed from my face that were really bothering me. Dr. Yoo explained that he could remove them, but there would be small scars left where the moles were. I was pleasantly surprised that after everything was healed, the scars are hardly visible.”

Recovery from surgical mole removal is usually quick and involves mild discomfort, swelling, or scabbing in the first few days. Most people heal within 2 weeks, though a scar may take several months to fade. Keeping the area clean, avoiding sun exposure, and following your care instructions can help ensure smooth healing.
Stitches from your mole removal are removed 1 week post-op.
Generally, mole removal is not painful. A local anesthetic will be used to numb the area during the procedure, and some slight discomfort may be present as it heals.
Going to a skilled surgeon is imperative to ensure the most optimal outcomes in regard to post-procedure scarring. Though scarring is possible, when done correctly and properly cared for, it can be quite minimal. It's important to understand that scarring will be at it's most heightened state around the 3-4 month mark, and continue to heal from there.
