The Privacy Rule protects all protected health
information (PHI) transmitted in any medium (electronic, paper or oral) by a
covered entity or its business associates.
In this lesson, we'll cover what I consider the three most
important parts of HIPAA’s Privacy Rule: uses and disclosures of PHI, notice,
and access.
